Chef Lauren’s enthusiasm and passion for food and service can be seen through years of experience in both restaurant and private chef work in and around Chicago. After earning her culinary arts degree and studying abroad in Barcelona, where she gained exposure to some of the world’s best fine dining, she returned to Chicago to become a sous chef at Alhambra Palace and, eventually, executive chef at The Joynt. After gaining high-level restaurant experience, she ventured out and began pursuing personal chef opportunities and eventually joined our team of Big City Chefs Chicago private chefs for hire.

Turmeric because it’s the spice that not only enhances a dish but also enhances your body.

What I love about cooking and hospitality…
I love helping people and making people smile which a chef has the ability to do both at the same time. I am able to share my story through my food and allow people to create a story through my meal….it’s the ultimate gift.
