Chef Bio
I grew up working in my family’s Vietnamese Banh Mi shop and Asian grocery store. My mom taught me how to cook, my dad taught me how to run a business and being first generation American taught me how to hustle. I started my catering business to fill a void in the vegan and gluten free market back in 2010. I have an international palette from my travels but stay true to my Asian roots in the kitchen. I offer alternatives to those with food allergies or special diets.
How long have you been working with Big City Chefs?
Since 2015
If I were a spice, I would be…
Ginger… because I can be both sweet and savory but a little bit spicy!
My favorite local purveyors, artisans, and farmers:
Love all the local farmer’s markets and fruit stands are amazing places to see interesting and delicious perfectly imperfect produce.
What I love about cooking and hospitality…
I love the feeling of feeding someone who’s hungry. So simple yet so satisfying to know I gave them what they wanted… and needed, especially if they have a special diet to adhere to.
What are your top three go-to pantry items?
Soy Sauce, Sriracha and Rice
